The Friends of the Library are a non-profit organization that raises money for library programs and improvements. They are a 501(c)3 organization, making donations tax-deductible.  They provide key funding for a range of programs and services, as well as any improvements the library may need.

In years past, the Friends have helped the library add the new addition onto the library, revamped the children’s room, purchase the new teen corner furniture, including the electrical powered sectional couch, big screen TV for future programs, display monitor by the entrance, shelving end caps. The Friends also purchased and dedicated a display case to Marcia Craig, who served the library for 25 years.

In 2017, the Friends replaced the staff office furniture, providing the library with updated desks, filing cabinets and storage. Additionally, the Friends replaced the public computer tables with new desks, which include USB charging ports, plugs, and wire control, as well as, providing a desk area for those patrons who wish to use their own laptops. The Friends created a welcoming foyer, including a new book drop, a credenza, and a bench for patrons to sit while taking phone calls. In our children’s room, the Friends provided new toys and materials for storytime, and new tables and chairs giving our youngest patrons a place to read, play and create.
