Movie Matinee: Hamnet
Our movie this month is Hamnet, based on the 2020 historical fiction work by Maggie O’Farrell.
The film stars Paul Mescal as a young, struggling William Shakespeare. The film focuses on the playwright’s grief after losing his 11-year-old son, which serves as the emotional catalyst for writing Hamlet.
Rated PG-13. Run time 125 minutes. Registration is not required.
